Friday Favorites: Books, Royals, Adventures and more 1/10

Hello, second Friday of 2020! Pretty soon it's going to be June. I can just feel it. Anyways, in the mean time - I am struggling with what to do on Fridays on the blog. I've tried to share links and things that I find and like from throughout the week - but I used to just pick one topic or thing and share it as my "Friday Fixation." I'm debating which way to continue. If you read my blog and have an opinion - let me know.

Until then - here are some of my top finds from this week.

I left my reading expectation EXTREMELY low for this year. In 2017 I read 31 books! But then I dropped to 24 in 2018 and down to 21 in 2019. I'm not failing another year of a book challenge - so I'm hoping for 12 this year. That's it. And this list is a great place to start figuring out what to read.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle step back from royal family.
Ugh. I know I have no stake in the game as far as Harry and Meghan and English royalty is concerned - but this feels bad. I've been cheering for them to make this work. And I think part of that meant stepping up to these duties... and I hope they weren't pushed out. I don't know, it's just not a good sign for the new year to me.

Free Wilderness Science and Mountaineering Program for Adventurous Girls.
If something like this exists when Lucille is 16 and 17 I hope she will do it. It seems like an amazing opportunity for young girls to really get to explore.

A new hotel for my bucket list. I just have to convince Jonny to visit Thailand.

This latest cookbook from Half Baked Harvest. I got it for Christmas and I've already made a few recipes. Including an AMAZING Chicken Tortilla Soup in the Crockpot that even the kids liked. First soup that Lucille actually ate more than a spoonful and Gus tried.

File this one under WTF.

Hope you have a good weekend! We are heading off to a Kings game tonight and we have a weekend of soccer and greek dancing to keep us busy! TGIF!
