Friday Fixation: Names in Music

I always wished that there were more popular songs with my name in the lyrics growing up. The closest I ever really got to having a cool song with my name is "Eleanor Rigby" - and my name isn't Eleanor.

My husband has lots of songs that feature his name: "Johnny B. Goode," "Big Bad John" and "Johnny Angel" to list a few.

So I've recently starting looking for songs with our baby girls name in it. The one that we knew the best was Kenny Roger's Lucille (you can watch above.) It's probably still my favorite. But there are some other good ones: Lucille by Little Richard and  Lucy in Sky with Diamonds (of course!)

The Little Richard version has been redone by anyone you can think of.

Then there are ones that I've never heard before: The Ballad of Lucy Jordan - Marianne Faithfull and Lucy's Door - Harry Belafonte.

Anyways, its been fun to go through and listen to these songs. Anyone else have favorite songs that mention their name?
