Around Town: August 12

Last year I went to Fairytale Town and saw Jackie Greene live (as part of my 30th birthday celebration.) He'll be playing again at Fairytale Town - August 18th. If you're a fan of his - Fairytale Town is always a fun spot to see a show. Tickets are $35. Bring a low chair and some cash for wine or beer!

If you are out in the Carmichael area - go check out the Capitol Pops Concert Band live at Carmichael Park on August 19th. Shows run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Also, have any of you checked out the Sunday Farmers Market at Carmichael Park? I haven't yet, but I want to.

Thursday August 16 is Jazz in the Courtyard at the Crocker. You can see Catfish and the Crawdaddies (what an awesome band name!) Its $6 for members / $12 for non-members.

Fiddler on the Roof is running at the Music Circus - August 14 - 19. Tickets are always a little pricey for Music Circus but they are always really good and fun shows.

Big music week I guess. I'm taking a few days off to visit with my sister - who's coming in from Portland... so I'm sure I'll be doing some fun things.
