French Macaroons

This past weekend (before I came down with this awful cold) I went to a local chocolate shop here in Sacramento called Ginger Elizabeth with two good friends. We got some awesome hot chocolate and my friend Maggie (who has blogged about Macaroons before) and I induged is some of the yummy macaroons.

Which now has me wondering - Just how hard are they to make? They look difficult - but I think I'm going to give them a try. Maybe this weekend. And I am going to start with the scrumptious Raspberry Chocolate French Macaroons pictured above.

At least the ingredients don't seem to daunting. I'll keep you all posted.
