Have a sweet weekend. Friday 8/17

Today was day 2 of Kindergarten! Eek. Stay tuned next week for an update on how it went. We have big things happening this weekend -- our neighborhoods big soccer season kick-off party AND Ice Cream Safari at the zoo. The kids will enjoy and I will be tired.

But it is Friday today -- and my week has been rough. Lots of driving kids around from one thing to the next. The new normal. So this isn't getting posted until 10:00 p.m. which is crazy late. But welcome to my world!

I wonder how much this list of 25 best colleges in the U.S. will change by the time Lucille is thinking about colleges. Nice to see a school so close to us (U.C. Davis) on the list!

I don't know the last time I had a blackhead - but I got one this week. So I bought this charcoal mask and LOVED it. But a warning: If you have sensitive skin this isn't for you. It pulls a bit when you remove the mask and left my face a little red. Nothing that witch hazel couldn't cure though and the clean/smoothness is worth it, IMO.

10 Fall trends... the red, the top handle bag and maybe the animal print. I'm not so hot on some of the others.

Jalapeno Parmesan Crisps. Yes, please.

And on a sadder note: RIP Aretha Franklin.
