Friday Favorites: Books, and more! 8/28

Happy Friday, friends. Many of you might already be back in school - or starting homeschool - or whatever your situation brings you. We are well underway with distance learning at home. It was a busy month - figuring out work spaces, laptops, earphones... and everything else to make this as smooth as possible. Feeling blessed that we have the resources to buy what we need -- and the flexibility to be at home with the kids.

Anyways, if you or the kids need some entertainment - I'm sharing some of my favorite finds from this week.

Women's Equality Day was this week and we talked a lot about the right to vote and equality. My favorite book is Finish the Fight. It taught the kids and me so much! And I love these old photographs of the suffragettes.

Ikea and Lego team up to make storage boxes? YES PLEASE.

If you're feeling stressed about virtual learning and working - read this. And go easy on yourself.

A 12-year old running a mushroom farm out of his basement. This kid is going places!

150 Greatest Albums made by women. Glad to see Missy Elliott get some love! I'm going to start picking one a day to listen to.

We always have a handful of strawberries that are too ripe for the kids to eat -- so this week I turned them into Strawberry Butter. YUM.

I shared some new kids books a few weeks ago - if you missed that post, check it out now.

Hope August has been good to you! Happy Friday!
