Things to Do: November 2018

Does anyone know where 2018 went? I mean, it was here one minute and the next minute it is almost 2019. I just can't even. Anyways, if you are looking for things to do around the Sacramento/Northern California area in the month of November - here is my family friendly list.

November 2 - Annie:  If you've got kids interested in musicals and plays or maybe you're just interested in musicals and plays -- but either way, Annie is a fun one for all ages. This is being performed at the Davis Musical Theater Company. If Annie isn't your thing check out other performances they have going on.

November 3 - Tree Tour of Sutter's Fort: Sutter's Fort and the Sacramento Tree Foundation will take you on a tour of the trees at Sutter's Fort - just in time to catch some of the beautiful fall colors. This is something I think the whole family could enjoy, especially if your kids love being outside and in nature.

November 4 - Dia de Los Muertos: Celebrate the Day of the Dead in Old Sacramento with the amazing creativity of Sol Collective. Fun hands-on activities to check out. Maybe watch Coco before you go to get the kids excited.

November 10: Touch a Truck: There is nothing like getting to sit in a big truck or police car or garbage truck when you're a kid. Both of ours enjoy the hands-on experiences that these "touch a truck" events provide. We did one last month with one of my clients, the City of Sacramento. This one is through the Junior League of Sacramento.

November 16 - Pirate Tea Party: A tea party where you can dress for tea or a pirate or both! This fun party is at McKinley Library for all ages.

November 16 - Global Winter Wonderland: If you haven't been before it is worth checking this out. You can go anytime between now and the beginning of January. It is a fun and beautiful light display that our kids loved and so did we.

November 17 - Holiday Road Book Sale: Head over to Arden-Dimick Library to get some Christmas shopping done early at this book sale that will feature higher quality books than their normal sale. Worth checking out - you might find some unique book that would make a great gift.

November 23 - ThankZoo: Everyone gets in for the price of kid admission and the zoo animals will get to eat, smash and play with special treats and pumpkins. It's always fun to watch the animals get treats!

November 25 - Creature Feature: A chance for all ages to get up close with some of the creatures they have at the Effie Yeaw Nature Center. We love this place year-round.
