Things to Do: April 2018

I cannot believe it is April. Lucille is turning 5 years old this month! Between planning a party, working super long hours, finishing my taxes and all the normal cooking, cleaning, playing, etc. I've been a little M.I.A. the past week or so.

But I did manage to pull together a list of things to do this month in Sacramento. Check them out below.

April 7: Sacramento History for Kids - This is for the older kiddos - 4th grade and up. It's a historical tour of Sacramento through the Old Cemetery. This would have totally been my thing as a kid.

April 14: Mary Poppins at the Crest - A great classic and a chance for your kids to see it on the big screen. The Crest Theater is such an experience for the young and old. I look for any excuse to go.

April 15: Sun Seekers Program - As it warms up you might see more reptiles out along the parkway. This program at Effie Yeaw takes you and your kiddos out looking for them. Get their early to register.

April 19: Free Movie Night - Take the whole family to the drive-ins and dot pay... that sounds like a fun. I really want to see Coco - and that's one of the free ones. Hope I can convince the rest of the family to go too.

April 21: Get the Rush! - A family-friendly event out at Rush Ranch that happens every 3rd Saturday. Stuff for the kiddos including a look at a blacksmith shop in action and of course lots of nature. In Solano County.

April 21: Earth Fest - A day of celebrating the planet at the zoo! This is included with admission (so free to members.)

April 28: Star Wars Day - My kids aren't into Star Wars yet - so this isn't our type of event. But if you're a zoo member and a star wars fan - check this event out. It is free to members and you as a member you can pay for a breakfast with the Empire too.

April 28: Yomen: A Spring Celebration - This is a free family-friendly event in Roseville at the Maidu Museum. It celebrates California Indian culture through dance, arts, storytelling and more.

OK! Get out and enjoy the weather as it warms up. And please share in the comments what you're doing this month.
