Holiday Gift Guide: Stocking Stuffers

I know, time is running out. But there are still a few days left for in-store shopping, Amazon Prime or express shipping. So this is for the procrastinators.

I love Stocking Stuffers. I don't know what it is - but they are one of my families favorites. Even when we had no kids in the family we would go all out for stocking stuffers. Maybe because its small things that always seem to be the most useful or fun. Or because of the chocolate...

Anyways, if you're looking for some good stocking stuffers for all ages - here are some suggestions.

Nail Polish: For the grown-ups, I love this OPI "Shh...It's Top Secret" color from their Washington D.C. collection. For kids, the Anjou peel-off/fast dry set of 12 is full of fun colors. You can divide it among kids - or just put one or two in the stocking and save the others for a rainy day.

Freeze-dried Ice Cream: I was OBSESSED with freeze-dried food when I was a kid. I thought it was amazing that this was what astronauts ate. Gus has been really into space stuff lately and I think this would be a big hit for him. And hey, ice cream is ice cream, right?

Bath Bombs: I use to be a total Lush addict. Before I had kids I would get all sorts of bath goodies from Lush and take long baths. Now, my kids get all the fun. But Bath Bombs are great for kids or grown-up stockings. This Ninja Bomb has a ninja toy surprise in it. The magic wand from Lush smells like candy.

Something tricky: My kids preschool went through this phase where they played a lot of Bean Boozled. I ate a white jelly bean that ended up being spoiled milk (UGH) and Gus thinks every black jelly bean taste like skunk. Even the licorice ones. This would be a fun thing for any age. Or a really gross thing. Just depends on how you look at it.

Science Experiments: From Micro Rocket Launchers to a Palm Pocket Volcano there are lots of small, science or STEM-related things that would fit nicely in a stocking. They sound like fun and something that a wide variety of ages would like.

Walkie-Talkies: Improve communication between two people and give them each one of the World's Smallest Walkie-Talkies from Urban Outfitters. Make sure you put batteries in them in advance so they are immediately usable.

Anyone else as obsessed with stocking stuffers as I am? What do you like to get? give?
