Things to Do: May 2017

Happy May! It's almost summer! Are you ready? It is finally warming up a bit and that means we can be outside more. The days are still getting longer - leaving more time for having fun with your kids. Here are so things to keep you entertained this month.

May 5: Movie in the Park - Rouge One - We aren't at a Star Wars age at our house - but if you are and you live in the Arden area - Arden Park is hosting a movie night showing Rouge One. Definitely worth checking out.

May 6: Capay Cinco de Mayo Festival - This isn't the closest event - but it does sound like a lot of fun for the whole family. Capay Organic and Farm Fresh to You has some great events throughout the year and who doesn't love a good Cinco de Mayo party?

May 13: A Day with da Vinci - The Aerospace Museum is hosting a renaissance event with lots of activities, the cool da Vinci exhibit, and entertainment. Could be a fun Mother's Day weekend event.

May 14: Mother's Day Tea Party - Check out the farmers' market at Carmichael Park and celebrate Mother's Day with lots of local goods. Seems like a great way to go - this is a great farmers' market for the whole family.

May 19: Members-Only Night at Fairytale Town - If you're a member at Fairytale town make sure you are on their email list so you get notified about members-only activities like this. They would like people to pre-register and you can only bring the number of people your membership admits. But it says guest passes are ok to use too. These are always fun because it's not as crowded.

May 20: Family Activity Day at the California State Indian Museum - This is one of those places I haven't been since I was in school. They have family days with activities and according to the Facebook page - the activity on this day is a plant scavenger hunt.

May 26-28: Roseville Greek Food & Wine Festival - Of course, I have to put this on the list. We've had a blast the past few years and considering I grew up going to Greek Food Festivals all over northern California, It's really hard to pass it by. The kids get to run around and dance and we get to eat and drink.
