Christmas Movies (Amazon Prime)

I did a post 4 years ago about the Christmas movies you could watch on Amazon with your Prime membership. Looking back - most of those aren't free anymore and others are available now - so I thought I'd do a new updated list.

Since I've had two little people added to my life since 2012 - this list leans a little more on the kid movie side than my previous one. But they are all still fun to watch for the whole family.

Frosty's Winter Wonderland - While this isn't the original Frosty movie - it is a pretty good one that our kids enjoy. Frosty gets married - and Jack Frost tries to ruin the day. It's cute.

The Snowy Day - This is an Amazon original - based on the great book by Ezra Jack Keats. If you've read this book to your kids you should definitely check it out.

If You Give a Mouse a Christmas Cookie - Another book based Amazon original. Lucille loves the "If you give a mouse..." series. We haven't watched it yet - but it's on the list!

Maryellen 1955: Extraordinary Christmas -  Lucille is just at a point where American Dolls are becoming of interest to her. Mostly because she really likes playing family and having a doll to dress in matching clothes with. But the stories behind American Girl are neat. So this might be a good one to watch.

Yes, Virginia - A really cute short film about the spirit of Christmas and believing.

Miracle On 34th Street - This is one remake that is often considered even better than the first and I agree. I love this movie and love little Mara Wilson.

Max Lucado's The Christmas Candle - I haven't seen this one yet - but it has really good ratings on Amazon. More a "grown-up" movie but might be worth checking out.

What are your favorite Christmas movies? Have you discovered any hidden gems by watching free ones on Amazon Prime or Netflix?

{I’m probably linking this post up at one of the awesome link parties that are hosted by some amazing blogs. Check them out!}
