October in Sacramento

We've got another great month of things to do in Sacramento. I am looking forward to SO many of these things. Hope to see you around town!

October 1: You Pick Pomegranates Opening Day - If you love pomegranates and don't have your own tree - head out to Blue Ridge Organic and pick your own. It's a fun opportunity for the kids to see a working farm. Always fun.

October 1 + 2: California Capital Airshow - Out at Mather Field - I think maybe my littles ones are still to little to appreciate this. But if your kids is really into air planes and fighter jets - this is the show to make sure you take them to.

October 1 + 2: Hoes Down Harvest Festival - If your kids are more into petting zoos and music and games - check this festival at Full Belly Farms out. There will be a lot to do for the kids and its always fun to explore a farm. My kids love this sort of thing.

October 3: Stroller Strides GRAND Opening - Arden Park - The amazing Stroller Strides program is coming to Arden Park - and the grand opening is going to be a party worth checking out. It'll even include playground led by Gus' 2nd favorite place (the train museum is #1): Tumble buddies!

October 6: Carmichael Park Food Truck Mania - It's still nice enough weather in Sacramento to take your kids to a park, get some grub, and hang out. You gotta love a good food truck park event.

October 7: Screever Chalk Fest - Its like Chalk It Up last month - but in Davis. If you missed Chalk It Up or just LOVE sidewalk chalk art - put this on your calendar.

October 8: River City Marketplace -It's never to early to start Christmas shopping, right? Head on over to Fremont Park and check out all the local goods. And it's at a park with a playground so you can totally drag the kids along.

October 9: Touch-a-Truck 2016 - Fire trucks, dump trucks, food trucks... these are the things that excite a 2 year old boy. At least mine. Seems like the perfect event to take him to. If you've got a truck loving kid who isn't into loud noises - 10am to 11am will be horn and light free.

October 11: Sacramento Taco Party - Anyone who knows my husband at all - knows how he feels about tacos ... and Tuesday's. PLUS this taco party is being sponsored by one of my amazing clients - the California Rice Commission and the proceeds go to the Food Literacy Center. This is an ABSOLUTE must event.

October 15: UC Davis Raptor Center Open House - If you're kid likes birds or wildlife in general - the open house and the Raptor Center in UC Davis might

October 22: Monster Bash - The Sacramento Children's Museum halloween event for the little ones. Let them dress up in their costume and come dance and play. There are a lot of great options for halloween celebrating - chances to get your money's worth on that costume.

October 22: Floating Pumpkin Patch - I've never heard about this before - but searching for a pumpkin in a pool? Sounds absolutely fun. If Roseville is your 'hood and you've got water loving kids - check this one out.
