Easy Homemade Play Doh Recipe

It is National Play doh Day! Yup. A day for the doh. I personally LOVE making our own play doh. It comes together like magic. This easy homemade play doh recipe was given to my mom from my cousins grandmother - and it is really easy and lasts a long time if you store it in an airtight container.

Here is the recipe:

1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
1 Tablespoon oil
2 tsp Cream of Tartar
1 cup water - w/ coloring

Mix ingredients. Cook on medium heat about 3 minutes - until it forms a ball. Store in air tight container.

You can play around with the coloring levels to get the desired intensity and shade. I pretty much let Lucille decide. It goes so quickly - the hardest thing is waiting for it to cool down so you can play with it. We make loads of wiggly worms. And snowmen.

Enjoy!
