Good Bye Summer.
I can't believe how fast this summer went by. We had some amazing adventures around Northern California (and even a trip to Southern California!) Here are some of the memories from the past few months.
I can't believe we only made it to Dillon Beach once. I guess that shows how many other trips we took.
Trip to Tahoe.
The California State Fair, of course!
Trip to Dunsmuir.
A quick day trip to gold country and the Sutter Mill in Marshall.
The kids and I took a road trip to Southern California to visit family and friends (sans daddy) and while it was a bit stressful - the discovery of the Irvine Regional Park was worth it. A train ride, zoo, pony ride and so much more we didn't have time for. It was a great experience.
We went up to the high desert - Lassen County with my parents. It is a part of California that my dad loves and my husband actually owns some property up there that his great-great grandmother homesteaded and passed down. It was a really interesting trip with a neat stop at the BLM's wild horse and burro corral, the Buzz Johnson trail (rails to trails - starts at the old Susanville train station) and Paul Bunyon and the Blue Ox in Westwood.
Oh and of course, loads of swimming - once the kiddos decided they wanted to be fish. ;)
Hope you had a great summer too! I'd love to hear about the favorite thing you did in the comments.
