Around Town: Halloween Edition 2015

There are so many halloween events in Sacramento over the next few weeks I thought I'd do a special edition of my around town post focusing on those events. They start this weekend - so get ready. You could really get some milage out of that costume.

Haunt 2015 - This event is at Safetyville USA this Saturday, Oct. 17. As a Sacramento native, I have some fond memories of this place as a kid. If you haven't been there - this is a chance to check it out because you really normally just go on field trips. It's $6 a person (3 and older) and that includes $2 coupon for food and games. From 11am to 4pm.

Monster Bash - At the Children's Museum - this is also this Saturday - but an evening event from 6-8pm.  $15 general admission and $10 for members. Music and refreshments in addition to the normal museum fun.

Night of 1,000 Pumpkins - This is a gorgeous event in Folsom - with 1,000 lit pumpkins. Kids are encouraged to come in costume. Date - October 23 at 6 pm.

Safe & Super Halloween: Pirates - Fairytale town always has a theme and this year it is pirates. I would be tempted when my kids are a little older to dress to the theme - but Lucille pretty much just wants to be a lion this year. This event runs 3 days - Friday Oct. 23 thru Sunday Oct. 25 in the evening from 5-9 pm.

Spooktacular Halloween - This event is at Funderland Saturday Oct. 24 and Sunday Oct. 25. $2 to trick or treat and if you bring a new toy or art supply to donate - you can get free ride tickets. There are costume contests and more fun. Plus the rides of course.

Boo at the Zoo - We did this last year and plan on doing it again this year. This event is on Friday, Oct. 30 and Halloween too.  We did the day before last time and will this time too. It is from 5-8 pm, crowded as all heck, but there is music and friends so what more could you want. Maybe beer for mom and dad would make it perfect. ;)

Any other fun events I'm missing? Tell me in the comments!
