Sacramento This Weekend: Sept 25 edition

It may officially be fall, but the weather is still warm and there are still things to do. Here is my top list of things to do this weekend in the area:

ScholarShare Children's Book Festival - Everything about this is great. Its at Fairytale Town, its free and it is about books. They are featuring some great authors include two of my favorite local authors Kate David {McKay and the Magical Hat} and Andy Domek {Our Garden.} Go and check it out and buy your kids some good books.

Founder's Day at Carmichael Park - I've never been to this event - but everything I've gone to at Carmichael Park is always fun. Music and a petting zoo means my kids would be happy.

5th Annual Mother Son Kickball - You read that right. Mother-son kickball. If you have a boy the right age for this I image it would be a blast. I hope Gus will want to play with me when he's older. How fun!

Farm-to-Fork Festival - One of the things I love MOST about Sacramento. The food scene. Especially when its kid friendly. The festival is free... you just pay for your food and drinks. Take in all the local goodness we have to offer.

Sacramento International Horse Show - If you have a horse lover - this might be worth checking out. I love the Equine Complex out at Rancho Murieta and if you don't mind the drive it looks like admission is free on Sunday.

Did I miss something? Share it in the comments - or email me about future events at honeybee heels@gmail.com
