Around Town: July 1st

Looking for things to do to kick off your July? Obviously you can do the 4th of July related things - like fireworks at Cal Expo - but here are some other fun things happening around town.

If you're actually reading this TODAY (July 1) then there is still time to go check out the Good Street Food + Design Market on Del Paso which will feature among other great things, a Pop-up butchers shop from Taylor's Market. This is their second first Sunday of the month event.

The Thursdays Til' 9 event at the Crocker on July 5 is a showing of the movie Casablanca. They'll start by talking about the groundbreaking cinematography in the movie, give you some tips for taking pictures with your camera -- and then start the actual movie at 8:30 p.m. This is one of my favorite classic movies.
