Around Town: Week of May 27

I've posted about the Creative Juices events before - but since this one is at a favorite winery of mine - I wanted to share it. Lava Cap is a great winery up near Placerville -- and I can't imagine a better spot to sip some wine and paint.

On June 2 - you can head over to the Old Sugar Mill and attend the Brewed! event - a beer festival and charity concert. Tix are $10 a person or you can get a family 4 pack for $30 (2 adults and 2 kids.) I love attending events at the Sugar Mill (and I love their poster design too!)

The Thursdays 'til 9 event at the Crocker Art Museum this week is a showing of the documentary "The Practice of the Wild" and on June 2 the Mel Ramos exhibit opens. Both seem worth checking out.

Of course, Wicked started this week. If you have ticket enjoy! We are going tonight and I'm very excited.

And how can I not include Sacramento Wine & Dine week. Kicking off on May 30 and running through June 10 here are some great opportunities to check out some of the area's best restaurants. I really want to try the Porch's menu.

Have a good week... and happy June (a little early.)

  1. My friend Becca was just telling me about the Creative Juices thing-- it sounds like so much fun!

And I'm tempted to head out to Brewed!, it would be a perfect pre-birthday festivity.

And happy birthday (a little early). :)
