Friday Fixation: Goodreads Book Swap!

I know I've mentioned Goodreads before - but now that I've found their "Book Swap" feature... I thought I should mention it again.

Book Swap allows you to list books that you own that you'd be interested in getting rid of. For the most part I like to keep books I've read - but I do have a handful that were "o.k." the first time but I probably won't read again or recommend. So far I've sent out 4 books and requested one - and it works well. The person requesting the book pays for shipping and then the sender just prints the label and ships it off.

After you send 10 books out to other people you get a "karma credit" for shipping on one book.

The Nine: Inside the Secret World of the Supreme Court
I requested "The Nine: Inside the Secret World of the Supreme Court" a book I've wanted ever since I saw the Author (Jeffrey Toobin) speak. And again, all I paid for was the media rate shipping.

So if you are looking for a way to get used books for cheap - or downsize your library - try it out. Its like an online used book store!

Oh and remember to follow me if you're on goodreads!
