Who Knew: US has a New Penny!

I sure didn't. Not until I cleaned out my purse this weekend and saw this penny without the Licoln Memorial on the back! First thing I did was check the date - and its 2010. Which made me feel slightly better since it could only have been changed recently.

So I guess our penny got a new look earlier this year in February. Did anyone else not notice this earlier? I feel like I niglect my pennies and should start paying more attention.
